    CUT2D WRITING

    Hi all,
    im new to all of this so any help will be great, when i'm using cut2d the fonts look great on the work piece ,but when i transfer them to g-code and put tyhem in mach 3, they are either to large foir the table or when it cutts them they are tiny...??? both cut2d and mach3 are set to mm,i just casnt understand what the problem is...someone please help

    That right there says "post processor" issues to me. Look at what your post is actually spitting out.

    hi there, thank you for your prompt reply, but how do i know which post proccesor to use, im using cut2d and mach3, but the letters never line up...just a bit frustrating to say the least,i thought it would have all been straight forward. i bought the machine from china and i recieved no real intructions with it..realy need help

    It could be anything giving you problems... cut2d or mach or...

    Give yourself any easy thing to test. Draw a simple square in cut2d (use easy numbers like 100mm or something), post it to gcode and analyze.

    It sounds like you're not sure what to look for... I know that that is frustrating.

    I had a similar problem where the size was off as well on my SX3 because I did not have the correct setting on the steps in Mach3. This video by Hoss was the solution to my problem.
