    12Z Custom Stand Build

Here is my take on a stand for the 12Z manual mill. 100% TIG welded for the sake of improving my steel TIG skills. All 0.120" wall 2" square tubing. I have a coolant pan for it and plan on fully enclosing after a CNC conversion.

The casters are Albion brand 750 lbs capacity each.

That is a very good looking stand. I wish I could do that well

Thanks! Still got to install the pan, hopefully that works out...I'm not much of a sheet metal guru

Here was my take on a custom 12z stand with a ladder rack for mounting electrical panels. MIG'ed together with my new Lincoln 210MP. 3/16 wall 3x3 and 3x2 tubing. Ladder rack is 1/.8 wall 1.5x3.

Looks great! Are those rubber pads that your mill sits on? I got some 1/4" Buna-N pads, 60 duro, hoping that will help isolate some of the harmonics.

Yes, my local hardware store has a 4 foot wide roll of that rubber sheet it was fairly inexpensive. I cut the bolt holes in it with a 3/4 inch leather punch.

Absolutely wonderful stands. I am hoping to start mine this week. I sold my bridgeport 9x42 because it crowded my small 1 car garage/ shop and was thrilled to order this little mill to take its place. Too bad they dont have auto quill feed. Other than that the table travel is amazing for the small footprint.

Also, bravo on the patients on 100% tig. That is some serious time under the hood.
