    Alphacam sloping help

    Hello all,

New to this forum, 6 months on smc record 220 router with alphacam. We are a mom and pop mill shop specializing in running trim / doors /stairs. This router is used primarily for curved casings with profiles, making templates for our knife grinder, and various cutting and dado functions. I have the profiling for curved casings figured out, Have the cutting and pocketing figured out. What is the sloping function for and what does it do? I can't seem to make any rhyme or reason out of it. Will it help me with tapered door sills? or should I stick to making them with profile function?
    Thanks Ben.

The sloping is nice, if you have a fixed slope, you need to cut with a Ballend

    Camnerd,

Thanks for reply... What plane does sloping refer to. I am not sure how to apply it, and to which toolpaths.

    Kind regards, Ben

    Re: Alphacam sloping help

The sloping is like running a bevel cutter around the panel. Very useful for one off parts when you don't want to pay out for a special tool bit.
Create exactly the same as vertical but add the angle value and optional round over top and bottom to create a bevel without a bevel tool.

I have the same problem whit Alphacam 2014 r2 and xilog plus working to Morbidelli Author 427 .
how i can fix the problem ??

I tried to mirror the work and then generate the n , as some have suggested , with the post processors but the problem remains and the tool path is reversed and does not work well.
