Charge Pump DIY Info, Circuit, Design, PCB???
I'm looking to add a Safety Charge Pump (SCP) to energize/de-energize my Xylotex 4-axis unipolar driver board. I occasionally forget to power off the driver board when I have to reboot my PC and the router starting up unexpectedly, mid-boot, makes my heart skip a few beats.
I know I can purchase a SCP from CNC4PC.com or CampbellDesigns.com. The one from CNC4PC is only $16.81(US) + S&H, but, in keeping with the DIY spirit I'd like to make one. With all of the electronic components I seem to have accumulated I probably have all of the parts within a 10' radius of where I'm sitting. Plus, I'm dying to machine a PCB on my CNC router table.
I've done a bunch of searches and can't seem to hit upon the right keyword combo to nail down exactly what is required and how to cobble it all together. Does anyone have any links or information regarding SCP circuits, SCP design, or SCP PCB layouts, along with the necessary electronic components?
If we can come up with a working open source Safety Charge Pump with component list, circuit design and PCB layout maybe we can get it added to PMinMO's website.
Open to suggestions,
