I am new to threading on a lathe so any help or advice would be much appreciated. I need to cut an external 10.750" - 2 ACME thread. I have a Fanuc 18i TB controller, but want to manually program incremental infeed to cut on both sides of the insert using G32. How would I do this?

FYI, you can set your control to use single-block multi-repetitive cycles (G76 specifically), which supports a P value for staggered infeed, etc. It's on the 1st page of Settings (I believe it's TAPE FORMAT = 1)

Save yourself a lot of figuring.

I got the thread to work with G33. Can't seem to get G76 to work properly... it it doing some weird pecking type motion in Z axis.

I am having trouble understanding the Higbee start. Can I do this with my ACME insert? Here is the code I used for my last pass:

Can you use a G92 threading cycle

Not available on my machine. The G codes have been changed by our company to match our other machines...makes life difficult sometimes.
