    High power/voltage drive

Has anyone made a Mosfet or IGBT dc motor drive that can handle 230 Amps peak (pulsed) at 180VDC, 50 amps continuous?
I'm tempted at making my own as I'm having trouble finding a suitable replacement for my dead Westamp analog drive.
Those that are out there that are equivalent to it are priced at well over 2k, used.
I would like the PWM option as it would fit right in with Mach3. Must be reversible and brake.
Searches on google returns the usual garbage. (everything your not looking for).
    Just wondering.

    Re: High power/voltage drive

    wow!

    tell us more!

in my 39 years of working with drives and competing against west amp years ago, no such critter EVER existed that I know of!

If you give more info on what you really r trying to do, perhaps w can help you.
