I just purchased a Tormach vise work stop to use with my Tormach machinist vise.
31760 - Work Stop
I got a bag of parts but no instructions.
Can anyone show/tell me different ways it can be set up and used.
Thanks so much

I will look around for some pictures or take some for you.
It comes with a couple lengths of studs and spacers.
Also the knob and stop bolt/all-thread and the stop offset plate.
I bolt my offset plate with 1 medium spacer to hold it away from left side of vise about an inch.
Then screw in stop bolt/all-thread against work piece then tighten knob to lock the stop bolt in that location against material.
Then when your done with that part, you can loosen vise remove part and set next one against the stop bolt and tighten vise.
And run program again.
hope this helps

Just a tip: for higher accuracy position your part, tighten vise, position stop against your part, tighten stop, remove and re-install part gently against your stop the same as you will with subsequent parts, tighten vise, THEN indicate your part.
It may only be a few thou or it may be 5 or 10 thou but tightening the stop against your part will not locate the subsequent parts as accurately as touching the part to the stop then referencing.
I like to position the part to make sure it's centered, then set up stop, remove and reinstall and the repeatability it within a thou or 3

I bought my end stops from Edge Technology. I have a single stop, a double ended stop and a double sided stop. If I get a job that requires good repeatability in my vise, I'll tighten it with a torque wrench. When it clicks, that's tight enough.
You can buy GOOD PARTS or you can buy CHEAP PARTS, but you can't buy GOOD CHEAP PARTS.
