    Taig motor shaft couplings

Hello Folks, i know this has been discussed but I can't find any definative answers. I have a cnc converted taig mill and am looking for direct replacements (oldham or whatever) for the couplers that come with it, the ones im talking about are with the plastic tubing. So anyways are there any that directly fit it? I dont want to start maching the shaft head or anything just replace with a pre-ready product.

    thanks for any pointers

What's the problem with the couplings you've got? Why do you think Oldham-type couplings would work better?

    Adonai,

If you are set on Oldham type couplers why not just machine a slot in replacements of original Taig couplers and make mating disks out of delrin.

I bet you could whip it out in a hour.

The posted image if for reference only dimensions are not accurate.

Jeff, thanks that sounds like a great idea, seems like noone has premade replacements that will work without some machining anyways. I just find the current ones with the plastic tubes annoying as I usually crush the bloody things when its not aligned and go through too much of the tubing

Ill order a set of replacements and machine the slots in

    Cheers
