I've got a variety of old Mazak controls that I've networked with some DNC software.

I've had little to no issues with the T1, TPlus, and T2 controllers, as I had information regarding the serial parameters available to me and was able to ensure the ports were set up correctly.

Unfortunately, no such documentation seems to exist for our T32B Controller.

Does anybody have any documentation concerning which parameters set the baud rate, parity, etc for the serial port and which values set what values? Searches haven't turned up anything of value thus far, although if I have missed something, feel free to scold me and send me in that direction. Sometimes Google can be an art, not a science.

The CMT baud rate is a User parameter on the Mazak control. It is parameter I1<DV1>.

Here is a CMT baud rate table for the I1<DV1> parameter:

Setting Baud Rate
0 19200
1 9600
2 4800
3 2400
4 1200
5 600
6 300
7 110


Other CMT Parameters
Another parameter to look for when communication is not working between the PC and the control is:
I65 (bit input) -- 00000010 (actual parameter setting on the control).
This parameter controls the Assignment of ports for CMT
We are concerned with the last 2 digits of this parameter. There are only 2 settings allowed:

00000010 (channel 1 setting) or
00000001.(channel 2 setting)
