    Hello
My question is how big can the permitted backlash be and what effect does a modification has?
Only a local effect or an overall one?
    Thanks

    Good morning Erwin,
In new condition it should only be a few thousandths. Was is permitted depends always on the application. Do you care about contour accuracy? Just measure the backlash in different positions of the axle then you know if it only occurs locally. Usually it should only occur locally.
The area of the axle that is mostly charged will get more leeway.

    Hi Stefan
You can notice it when milling circles on the changeovers. It would be enough to regulate the game in the work area. You can regulate 0,02 can#t you? Theoretically yes or?
