    Hello
Two weeks ago I got a new VMX30U. The training involved only 3 axis milling.
I received parts that can be processed from all their sides. Can anybody help me?
How can I program that? The programming and milling without turning the table works superb.
The processing that is programmed over 5 axes is a simple drilling picture but just from every single side.

    Regards

    many thanks!!

    The easiest method is:

Position turning table A or B axis, set a new neutral point on the processing layer
And then continue programming like usual.
That’s how we do it on a 4th axis with ultimax
By the way just negotiate about a VMX 42 U =)

    Position turning table
Move neutral point of the turning table START
    Mill/drill
Move neutral point of the turning table END

Set neutral point in the 0 degree position
With neutral point movement Start add the values where the new neutral point should be placed.
The whole thing is always based on the 0 degree position.

    That’s it.

However you need to set a few basic conditions need to be fulfilled: for example the rotation centre of the axis and so on…
If you start carefully then you will see if you are reasonable correct.
If you are unsure I would wait until you receive the 5 axis training.
However in principle its not very hard but a few things you need to know.

Good luck turning and rotating with your Hurco.
    =)
