I have a question: how do Okuma user use the possibly with the dialog programming IGF?

Do you use it often or only on and off?
I don’t know IGF but I have an Okuma turning machine and I am thinking about buying a machining centre from Okuma (older model). Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with IGF.

Is it useful to use IGF?

    Many greetings

    Hello

I use CNC turning from OKUMA for 25 years now but I hardly ever use IGF. I also have a machining centre from OKUMA. However I would not buy it again- either milling or turning from Okuma but not both..

The two machine types were programmed without rhyme or reason.

E.g. you got ”used” to the turning- you know exactly that F2 means “insert sign”... Now you go to the miller and there F2 means “delete sign” - that doesn’t fit together..
I am very satisfied with the turning; my first LB15 is still running.

    Regards

Actually we use IGF for every program- it doesn’t make sense to me otherwise.
Why creating all the cycle and all the other stuff when the controller can just do that for me!
Maybe a few commands like rotation direction etc... but otherwise you can create the programs and use them immediately... works 97% of the time!!!!
