    Hello
I recently discovered a topic on a Heidenhain controller, that I am not very familiar with! I start to get used to it but I still prefer Fanuc. smile.gif.
    Maschine is a CTX 400 Serie 2
    Now to my question:
In the tool correction I always see the following correction values with the grooving tools:
    dx , ds , dz .

    What does ds stand for????
If I ask about the other value in the firm, then I always get an answer.
1 : Ds must be alone to correct it

    ds : 0,03
    dx : not
    dz. -
2 ds has to be corrected together with dx

    ds : 0,03
    dx : 0,03
    dz : -

That’s why I always get confused with it because I always get different answers.
What does it really relate to?
What do I have to use with the ds?
    What actually is ds smile.gif

Have you got any documents where I can have a read?
I would like to print some stuff out for myself!

Thank you for your afford in advance

Well I mill on HDH and there it would be the D Delta Value

    Means correction

    Dx corrects the x axis
    Dz corrects the z axis
Ds corrects.. I don’t know to be honest

    Hi
For the milling process I think that’s plausible but I know Heidenhain iTnc 430 and Maho also for turning processes.

And a turning tool doesn’t need any correction or what? I think it does too!
