    Hello
    I want to mill an inclined surface of 5° into a pocket of 200x200x100. Only the axes XYZ and an end mill (diameter 40 with length 120 and 5° on the length) are available. I don’t know how to continue... do I have to calculate what diameter the miller with 5° on a length of 100 has at the top and enter this value as r? Is there is possibility in the tool list where the diameter, the length and the 5° are considered? There is also the possibility to do it the long way... to enter the diameter at the top generally a bit bigger and then use trial and error to get a solution.

    I hope you know what I mean.

    Thank you for your answers

    There are several possibilities;
    -calculate it as you mentioned
    -measure the radius at the desired position on the tool pre-set device. (if available)
    - drive to the desired depths and „scratch“ the radius
    - measure the radius at the desired position with the calliper gauges
    These methods should all be better and enter a radius randomly.
