    Hello
I need your advice: When milling a pocket, drive off from the CAM in the machine DMU50 810D then the machine starts jerking because it doesn’t have a Look Ahead. Can you do anything to make it run smoother? Maybe with a Stopre?

    With best regards

    Hello
Stopre for sure is the wrong thing!

You have to have G64 activated.
In most cases the surface tolerance from the CAM is too small. That means that too many codes are processed in a particular time period. You can also notice it, if the machine can’t reach it’s programmed feed. Or you can have a look in the SIEMENS Docu ‘programming manual basics’ Chapter 5.2 line control G64 G641 G642 G643.
You can also afflict yourself with the following function and the parameter ADIS and ADISPOS.

Try first G641 G641 to start up.

    Good luck

If you have the option choose cycle 832 ( High Speed Settings ). It’s also worth a try!
