    Hello to all experts =)
    I have a questions regarding thread cutting.
    Is it possible to work on a 840D with variable gradients?

    I would like to process a kind of internal thread with 2 different gradients.
    First 2 rotations with a gradient of 20mm, afterwards 10 rotations with a gradient of 10mm.

    How can I realise that over the controller? Appreciate any hints and ideas.

    Kind regards
    Sebastian

    Hello

    Cutting threads with variable gradient (G34)
    With the commands "G34 X (U)... Z (W)... F... K... ; you are able to cut threads with variable gradients; the thread pitch change per spindle rotation can be entered with the address K.

    Suitable for 840D sl , 840Di sl and 828D, 828Dsl

    You can read more in the programming manual – Doconweb.

    That should also work with linking threads together.
    CYCLE98.
    When you define DM1 and DM2 with the same value, and PP1= 20 and PP2 =10, then it should work.
    PO1 would then be 0
    PO2 = 40
    PO3 = 140
