    Hello CNC community
    I have problems to start
the main spindle in the manual drive.
I have a Siemens 880T. The keyboard is identical to the 820T. I think the handling too. ..
The machine is a Weiler DZ 42 with 2 carriages and opposed spindle.
Unfortunately, I never came in contact with such controller , I’m not sure if I my approach is correct. The manual doesn’t help much either- I only managed the reference run with the help of the manual.

To find out if I make any errors or if the machine is broken, maybe somebody could check my course of action:

set-up operation > JOG> overwrite - here I enter the files like the mask provides it.
    e.g.: S1=2000 M1= 3 T1=1 D= 1

On the screen the following message:

    Enter file > NC-Start

However the spindle doesn’t start coangry.gif

    Kind regards

    Hello Intex
    Thank you for the advice.
I finally found the error with the help of Weiler’s customer service.
The key switch was set to ‘set-up operation ’
However, I guess I will have many more questions in the future though.

    Kind regards
