    SolidWorks 2005 with Vista 64 bit system?

    Hi to all:
    (1) Will SolidWorks 2005 work with Vista 64 bit operating system?

    (2) Will SolidWorks 2005 work with Vist 32 bit operating system?

    (3) What is recommended RAM

    (4) Is graphics card needed?

    (5) Any thing else to consider while building a computer for SolidWorks?

    No

    (2) Will SolidWorks 2005 work with Vist 32 bit operating system?
    It's not supported, but there is a slim chance it will.

    (3) What is recommended RAM
    As much as you can afford. I say 2gb min. On a 32 bit system, 3gb is max windows can handle.

    (4) Is graphics card needed?
    If you are serious about using SW it is. You will have limitations without it (or worse).
    IMO Quadro FX series is best.

    (5) Any thing else to consider while building a computer for SolidWorks?
    Use Windows XP Pro or get a current version of SolidWorks.

    Sounds like you need to get a current version of SolidWorks. You will not be able to open any native SolidWorks files created in SW after the current version you have. The only way around this is to have the files exported in some other format than SW. You will loose all features and any associativity (SP).

    SolidWorks 2009 supports MS Windows Vista Pro X64.
