I am almost done building my 1.5x1.8m CNC. Originally I planned to use my Bosh router as a spindle, but the mounting turned out to be very difficult.

Which router can you reccomend? I want to cut mainly plywood. Is the Kress 1050 powerfull enough? Or should I get a wood Router?

I started with the Kress 1050, and while it worked well, I felt it underpowered. I got a Hitachi M12vc with precisebits collets and I like it a lot.

spindle is the best option. Porter Cable PC690 with Precisebit collets would work as well. the noise of any router is not good for your hearing, especially when running for 4-5 hours on one job. The spindle on the other hand is extremely quiet especially in the water cooled variety (I have never been around a air-cooled one)

I have a Chinese 2.2 kw air cooled and it is pretty quiet.
