    Fryer MC-40 Anilam5400

    Hi all,
I'm fairly new to cnc's, but I need to find a solution for our MC-40 mill...
A nasty short on the main feed took out the spindle drive (that's been fixed already), but now the servo amps act up...mostly Z axis fault, but X, Y and couple times U axis showed up too. I can't connect to the servos for some odd reason (got the serial cable and SigmaWin), and I have nothing to connect to the controller (Anilam 5400). I would like to be able to diagnose this thing before throwing more $$$ at it. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Mill details:
    • Fryer MC-40
    • Yaskawa servo amps (3xSGDB-10AD G, 1XSGDA-08AS)
    • Controller: Anilam-5400M (crt model, no touch screen)

The documentation we got with the mill (a number of years ago) is minimal, like a 10 page manual with few diagrams (Z axis is listed two or three times, the rest are missed)

Please contact our service department for assistance. They will need the serial number of the machine to look up the records.
