Hi all,
I'm fairly new to cnc's, but I need to find a solution for our MC-40 mill...
A nasty short on the main feed took out the spindle drive (that's been fixed already), but now the servo amps act up...mostly Z axis fault, but X, Y and couple times U axis showed up too. I can't connect to the servos for some odd reason (got the serial cable and SigmaWin), and I have nothing to connect to the controller (Anilam 5400). I would like to be able to diagnose this thing before throwing more $$$ at it. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Mill details:
- Fryer MC-40
- Yaskawa servo amps (3xSGDB-10AD G, 1XSGDA-08AS)
- Controller: Anilam-5400M (crt model, no touch screen)
The documentation we got with the mill (a number of years ago) is minimal, like a 10 page manual with few diagrams (Z axis is listed two or three times, the rest are missed)
