    Island feature to minimize cutting air

    I am looking for an Island feature in X6.
    i have a 2x3x8.5 in stock that im milling 1 inch deep.

    Control/machine is a Fadas hs88

    I'm currently running a decent program with a 2flute carbide rough .03/.03 finish left using my G8 mode 10k @60ish ipm
    I'm following up with a HSS 2fl .06r to finish on the G9 2.4k @10ish ipm

    Im cutting way too much air... big surprise

    i figure an island feature with a material stock constraint would work nice.

    i would like to minimize this.

    looked at a high speed machinng tool path for roughing the part, liking it a lot,
    are there other options that enable open chans to machine a part?

    this is the roughing passes, the outline of the part is what actually needds to be cut, a few contours, the stock is already roughed.
