Hi guys.
Need a little help again. I've got a Leadwell CL15 lathe with a Fanuc Oi-TB controller. I'm trying to program the tailstock but am having no luck at all. I've search everywhere and followed a bit of advice but alas...... Here I am again. There is nothing in the book about the tailstock at all but I was given a laminated sheet with the M-codes on it. Those codes are M/21/22 tailstock advance/retract and M/25/26 tailstock out/in then, I assume the position check codes M/28/29 on/off.

I'm guessing the M21/22 moves the tailstock and M25/26 moves the quill. It does have hydraulic lines to the rear of the taoilstock and it has a handle on a bolt which looks to manually move it forward. The one thing I haven't done is check for a parameter to enable it. That is first on my to-do list today.

Has anyone dealt with a Leadwell before and care to share advice concerning tailstock programming?

If you can PM me your ladder I can take a look at it and see what those M-Codes are trying to do.

After playing with this all day yesterday I found out that:
1. M25/26 is quill in/out.
2. M21/22 have no effect. Apparently these are hydraulic tailstock moves that this machine doesn't have.
3. M28/29 I ASSUME to be related to #2
4. Don't trust an underling when he/she tells you they have tried everything (I already knew this but ignored it yesterday).
