Bridgeport Explorer DX-32 Control (KB Interface Error)

    Help Needed!

    DX-32 Control

    KB Interface Error

I have tried two keyboards with no success. Usually on start up none of the keys work.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Bridgeport Explorer DX-32 Control (KB Interface Error)

Just maybe you have a CMOS battery that is old and leaked. The electrolyte in a Ni-Cad is potassium hydroxide I think. It eats the mother board and one of the first things to fail is the keyboard because of where the plug sits relative to the CMOS battery. Look for corrosion on the mother board in that area.
