Putting a rad off an angle

    Hey

I have a print deviation that has come in from a customer. We do not do a lot of rads that are partially formed at the end of an angle and if we do we usually have length specs for the angle and rad making the blend nice. In this case i need to find this information myself. I can draw it up and make it look nice on software but would like the actual knowledge and points to make it done correctly. This is on a CNC lathe using Fanuc control. Would like not to use cutter comp.

    Specs
30 degree angle with a 0.6 rad blending it into a flat. Total length of the angle plus rad is 0.8mm MAX smooth transition. total allowed height is 0.15mm +-0.05.

    Thanks

A number of scenarios would fit your description. You'll need to be more specific. A rough sketch might do.

Quick sketch from paint since thats about all i have on this computer to use. The .6 rad blends the angle back to the straight.

That would be it. The .42 is a .8max dimension but I am guessing you already figured it out and .42 is the length that makes it blend?

Not quite. The .42 is where the .15 dimension intersects the 30 Degree angle

Maybe these are the numbers you're looking for?
