Can anybody tell me what the difference is between a Fadal VMC 15XT & a Fadal VMC 3016??

vmc15xt is a linear way steel well-meant frame machine and a vmc 3016 is a cast frame box way machine.
I have a 15xt that I got new in 96 and its payed for its self 2 or 3 times every year since then. If I could find a second one in good shape I would grab it and run. there not the best machine for heavy steel but they do GREAT in alum and hold up good.....

if you want steel cutting get a 3016 , if you want alum cutting get a 15 or 15xt

D.D. Machine thanks for your reply. I am in the market for a Fadal VMC. I have found several in really good condition but I wasn't sure what the difference was between the 2 machines I had mentioned. It will be used for machining die details, jig, & fixture details as well. I have a link for a VMC 15XT thats is in excellent condition & reasonably priced.
