    Geomagic import reference sketch?

    Just downloaded the Geomagic trial.

I am trying to insert a jpg image to use as a reference for drawing my sketch. Is this possible?

I don't think Geomagic Design imports JPG. Can you convert it to a DXF or DWG, which are supported?

Use File Open in Geomagic to open the jpeg file, which should open it in a 2D drawing. Trace the part with the drawing tools, copy the traced drawing entities (lines, circles, boxes, etc), create a new part, open a sketch in the part and paste the copied drawing entities into the part sketch. Extrude the sketch (after fixing any anomalies) and you'll have you part.

From GeoMagic help, search for jpeg and you'll find a topic for "Inserting images in drawings". That should get you started.
