Plasmacam is a good choice, I have had their machines for over 15 years, easy to learn, easy to use. I suggest getting the advanced Design Edge software and advanced height control options, will be worth every penny over time. You may want to post this on the PlasmaSpider.com ? Index page as I think there may be many more Plasmacam users on that forum. You are welcome to come to NH and take a look at mine.

    Jim,

You're one stand up guy! Thanks for helping all of us guys out when considering a new machine.

You can blame plasma cam's DesignEDGE Software for this one:

a Downdraft is definetely the the way to go,

These might be helpful for a 4x4 plasmacam (allows you to get away with a much smaller ventilation fan, because the enclosure area is reduced):

Check out Plasmacam's owners community on their web site. There is definitely a few plasmacam owners that have build these for their systems. I'd say that would be best place to see if you can track down a dxf for it. If worse comes to worst, something like this would be extremely easy to lay out and cut using your designedge software.

Let us know if you come across something.

    Good Luck Brother!
