I was told to type in G0 G90 G53 X-17 at end of program and this doesn't work. It's like something is overwriting it and the table just stays in the X position that the program finished at. Anyone have a idea whats going on?

Apart from the dot missing, you may be able to have a much shorter piece of code
What are the lines of code that are before this move, if you have a G0 move for say the Z axes move it can be as simple as G53X17.
So it would be like this
G80G0Z3. (The G80 would only be there if you have just ended/done a canned cycle)
M9
M5
G53X17. (you can include a Y axes move in this line as well if you need it)
M30
Mactec54
that works, thanks for all the help
If this is something you do a lot of, you can also set up the G30 second ref return to park the table, or assign the M30 to a macro to park the table.
