    fanuc 10m trouble

    I have a leadwell 760xl with a fanuc 10m control and at start up I get a ot100 alarm which in the book says spindle alarm turned on and the cause is 0 what does this mean and why can't I clear this alarm I have tried powering down all the way and reset also on the spindle drive the number 4 led is on were it says alarm codes any help would be greatly apprecaited

    OT usually means over-travel. Maybe your spindle axis has moved out of working limits, or you have a faulty limit switch..

    I don't have my book here for the spindle alarm 4.
    The OT100 is just indicating the spindle is in an alarm condition.
    Check as much of the power supplies you can, including control fuses etc,
    Also see if you can find the test pins marked with +5, +12, or +24 etc, as there are often regulator IC,s in board, check with ref to the 0v pin.
    I may be able to get the code tomorrow if you still need it.

    Thanks for the help, I am not having any luck. If you can find the code tomorrow, it would be greatly appreciated. Justin
