Autodesk products to be subscription only.

Delcam is of course owned by Autodesk now and this just out. Autodesk to go subscription-based only - CGPress

Sad to say but it is looking like if you want to keep a permanent seat your time will be up soon.

    Maintenance Overview - www.delcam.com

    Important: Changes to Maintenance Subscription
    Dear Delcam Customer,
You are receiving this message because our records indicate that you or your organisation may be impacted by the following business change. This notice is intended to provide you with sufficient time to discuss the options with us, evaluate your needs, and take any required action before the change becomes effective.

Delcam is enhancing Maintenance Subscription with the introduction of a range of new options for both existing licenses and new seats. There is no change for existing on-maintenance perpetual licenses, which can continue to be used and maintained with annual Maintenance Subscription. Please note that any non-maintained software licenses can only be brought back up-to-date on an ongoing basis by purchasing Back Maintenance before 31st December 2015.
You will be able to continue using non-maintained existing perpetual licenses. From January 1st 2016 these licenses can be upgraded to the latest software release for a fixed time period by purchasing a Term License.
New seats of Delcam software products are also unchanged and can continue to be purchased with Maintenance Subscription. For your software that is on Maintenance Subscription, you will receive ongoing updates and retain access to your benefits by keeping your Maintenance Subscription current.

Alternatively you can choose to purchase new software on a Desktop Subscription basis. Desktop Subscription enables you to license software on an as-needed basis to suit your business requirements. These options apply to both standalone and network licenses.

To find out more about Maintenance Subscription options, visit our Maintenance Subscription website today at Maintenance Overview - www.delcam.com or contact your local Delcam Sales Partner.
    Yours sincerely,
    Bart Simpson
    Senior Director, Commercial
