G-simple tool definition - pocket says tool is too big

I'm trying to cut a pocket with a diameter of 2" and using a 1/2" router bit that I have defined but when I try to cut the pocket, I get an error saying that the specified tool diameter is too large for this feature.

any clues as to what I may be doing wrong?

Did you forget the decimal point in the tool diameter?

    Nope, just checked that again

Interesting thing, It will define the pocket fine if I use auto tool select when composing the pocket, then I can go back and change to the tool I want. It seems to handle that just fine according to the tool path animation
