Is it possible to program a cam to machine down half of Z when contouring and then flip the part to machine the other half of Z ?
If so , how is it easiest to do it ?
I use DFS.

Are you taking about a 3D model or 2D stuff?
I only really know about Alphacam sorry. In Alphacam there is a function for reverse side machining/nesting. You do two versions of the same drawing, just with different tool paths, and it will flip the one that you put '_rev' at the end of the file name. it will do it with nesting also.
Hi thanks for answering.
I am talking about 2.5d milling but I managed to solve the problem.
In "Delcam for Solidworks" you choose "attribute" for the operation and in "through depth" enter a negative value to fit your needs. Camworks is easier to do it, but I really like DFS so I will stick with it.
