Deja vu here I go again with a bench top mill CNC conversion. This time I'm starting with the Charter Oak Automation 12z mill, 26x12x22 inch work cube, 3HP 3 phase Leeson with Danfoss VFD as the base unit. I will be chucking the gears and adding a two speed belt drive for a 5,300 rpm spindle speed. For now I'm contemplating rolling my own CNC conversion vs buying their kit but that decision is not set in stone yet. I'm going to price it out and see what things look like.
