    attaching 8020 to existing 8020

I need to attach a 1x3 next to a 1x3 that is already bolted to my cnc router. The end result should be two attached pieces forming a 2x3 unit, but very solid. Essentially, I need to have these two mounted side by side. I don't have any clearance on top for joining plates, and I am concerned that placing joining plates only at the bottom will not keep these units perfectly parallel and forming one solid structure. I don't like the idea of hand drilling and bolting them together, so I am curious to know how others would approach this problem.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Tony,
I don't like hand drilling either, but bolting would be the best way. 8020 sells drilling fixtures, but not specifically for the 1 X 3 [1030], but one of them should work
    or make your own.
