After giving up on my failed, ultra cheep designs for a CNC mill (expecting tollerances I could never acheave), I've opted to go for a chunky, easy to adjust, less cheap design.

A scetch of the mill is available here.

The base will be cast iron and all the linear slide with 4 race Hiwin bearings. I've yet to add motor connections, or any indecation of the ball screw on the bottom. But my question is, can anyone see any major problems with this design?

size: 400mm long, 200mm wide, 70mm cutting depth (200x200 cutting area).

Open to constructive critisizm.

Fubar.
