Hi all,

my name is matt, I am new to the forum!

i purchased a laserpro mercury ii from the school I worked at. I have never had the machine working properly.

The carriageway moves and traces the design to be cut but the laser doesn't work. The schools technician thinks that the laser diode may be broken ( it was left out in a cold garage last winter )

i am now struggling to find a replacement diode, or anyone who can confirm if it is the laser diode that has failed.

can anyone on here help me? I am desperate to use the cutter!

The carriageway moves and tracing, but without laser beam comes out,
if the laser tube (diode) no problem,

Check that the magnetic door switches are working. (light on the panel)

What diode are you talking about?
Mercury is CO2 laser machine not diode laser.
