    ABB S3 controller

I have a ABB old robot IRB6000 with S3 controller.
Now I want to setup connection from PC to S3 controller's serial port, using
    Hyperterminal.
Does anyone has this experience and can help me?

I know that I am reopening a really really old thread, but how about using a controller like like this http://www.emx.net.au/super4usbrelay.htm to simulate pressing the buttons on the S3 controller. I do not have any experience with this so it is just a wild guess. I have seen other posts about similar things, and this could solve their issues as well.

    ABB S3 flppy drive update

Hi ABB fans, here a new gadget for your ABB S3 Robots.
FlexiDriveMV-SD - Floppy Drive Update to SD card.
This is a direct replacement for the floppy drive unit.
You remove the actual 3.5” floppy drive, connect the FlexiDrive and that’s all.
You will not use floppy disks any more.
You will use a standard SD memory card. You can storage up 2500 floppies in a single SD card.
Also for all ABB from S4 to S4c+, old KUKA's, Kawasaki's, FANUC's, or any industrial machine!
