Using 64 bit computer with ESS and gecko 540. Doesnt want to play nice!

I have recently constructed an EVO machine, with some mechanical "upgrades" to make it better. It appears that the mechanical stuff is the easy part. I am running Vcarve, Mach3, on a 64 bit machine, which I am told should not be a problem. Running a cat 5 cable out of the computer to the smooth stepper and the ribbon cable to the gecko board. Dropped a little more money to get the stuff through CNC router parts, but this doesn't seem to do the trick. Have spent a lot of hours adjusting the config to the instructions from CNCRP, warp9, gecko, etc. and nothing seems to work. I am about to bypass the ESS and run a parallel cable out of an old computer just out of frustration. I have tweaked the Mach3 config file, made sure of the addresses per the instructions, and the nice boards just sit there and flash at me. Any body have any ideas?

"Nothing seems to work" doesn't give us much to go on.
I'd have to guess that you have an issue with the ESS configuration in Mach3.

there are a few guys running the ess on my forum you can ask them also.
I would email Warp 9 and describe the steps you did and he can prob. help.

We just need a little more info like Ger21 mentioned.
    Thanks,

If you got all this through CNC Router Parts, Ahren over there should be willing to help you get it working; they have a pretty good reputation for supporting their customers. There are a lot of variables in a system like that which are hard to address on a forum; it really takes someone going through them step by step and walking you through it.
