Problem with boot up. When machine is powered on the screen gets to Handshake 1 and stops. We re-seated the cards in the rack and now the screen has no text. The backlight is on but no text.
I think there is a problem with the software. We had an issue with the conversational programming and in the middle of programming the screen would go from blue to red and then freeze up for a while. It would finally let you finish but now the other problems. Checked the power supply and all voltages and all is good. Don't know where to go at this point. I still think there is an issue with the system soft ware or possibly the boards. Any help would be great

Bryan, have you tried booting in maintenance mode just to eliminate the possibility of disconnection in the wires or board failure. On the JANCD-JCP01 there is a small white dial selector, usually set at 0. Going to F will do a Sum Check and then display relevant software info. Or going to E will get you to the software/parameter/offset load and unload area. Switch it when the power is off, turn it back on and see if this gets you somewhere, so you at least know the screen and boards (mostly) are working

Haven't tried this yet. The machine is about 2 hrs away from me. I think the owner has scheduled Yaskawa out of Columbus Ohio to look at the problem.
