Help!!! Touch probe grounding through spindle???

    Hi guys
I have a 2.2kw air cooled spindle and all my electronics running through a pmdx 126 controlled by mach3 using big Tex blue screen. OK now it all works fairly well but my setup means I have to connect a clip to the router bit and it lowers down to the touch plate, now the problem I have is that in between tool changes it takes off with my clip attached so my question is how do I set it up without having to put a clip on the router bit like what's shown in his videos. When I touch the touch plate to the router bit without the clip attached the green light in mach3 flashes intermittently like its not stable .
