I just picked up (3) Nema 23 80oz./in. ,6 volt, 5 ohm, 1.2 amp per phase, 1.8 degree, 6 wire, can be wired unipolar or bipolar. what do I look for in a good torque rated stepper motor. I don't have a clue. Thanks.

What do you want to build? Those are low output motors. Perhaps a dremel sized PCB mill/drill could use those. Likely not anything much bigger.
I want to build a small (2' x 2') cnc router. I plan on using these motors with a Xylotec control.
If you used gears and belts, could he gear it down, to say 2:1 and then go with perhaps a laminate trimmer ? Or would it be too slow to move the router ?
