    Joe's CNC "TITAN Series"

Joe's CNC "TITAN Series" 24x24 Desktop version.

20mm linear guide rails and bearing blocks with 4 points of contact recirculating balls bearings for tighter fit.
    C7 1605 Ballscrew/Ball Nut on X-Y Axis.
I am using the Z-Axis Velox Slide With Adapter Plate.
    Thanks,
    Joe

    Re: Joe's CNC "TITAN Series"

Installed an X2 style spindle on my machine. I decided to remove all electronics from the head and relocate them, Also painted the head I think it looks cleaner.

Mind you this is not the norm for installing a mill head on a cnc router. I will be using the machine mainly for Aluminum and other hard materials. Most people will be installing a router.

Joe, any more details on this new machine? Looks very nice but I see nothing on your website about it.

Surfacing the Titan Desktop Bed. I Can not see any witness lines. after completion of build the bed was off 0.005" left to right and 0.003" front to back. this may be the differences in the MDF and Glue on the two layers, Surface is 0.02" removal.

Was just going over the 2006 model and now thinking I may wait, wanted to make mine out of aluminum. This one looks very heavy duty compared to the 2006 model.
Looks great Joe cant wait to see what happens next.

Hi, is this project scrapped or are you planning on doing anything with it? Im looking on building a machine for aluminium cuts, and this looks pretty right to me.
How did the one you built for someone turn out?

    Re: Joe's CNC "TITAN Series"

Wow this setup seems perfect for my needs. I'm looking to mill aluminum sheet so the build area is perfect. What's the cost to build one of these? I know I'm reviving an old thread, but this is perfect.
