Looking at this SL100 "1torch" machine torch from thermal dynamics at the welding supplier this morning. I note they are half the price of the Hypertherm machine torch, possibly to encourage people to buy their tips, it's a replacement system also.

You can get a 20 amp tip for this torch. Took a diversion to the Vo-tech and asked the instructor about what their equipment could do on air. He had a TD unit with a older machine torch. With a new 35amp tip, smallest he could get, it did a great job on 14ga steel, virtually no burr. His results on 1/4" SS was bad.

Just curious if the finecut tips in a HT torch would do even better on thin stuff.
