Fusion 360 CAM post processor failure (Mach3)

    Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with Fusion 360 CAM. I imported a model from Solidworks, managed to create a toolpath, but cannot get it to post process to Mach3. It's telling me that the tool orientation is not supported.

Here's the text from the file that was exported:

I'm at a loss for how to fix this. The only thing I could find had to do with not setting tool orientation unless I had a 4 or 5 axis machine. The problem is, if I don't set the tool orientation, I can't get the toolpath to show up.

I'm running a standard CNC Router.

I have attached my solidworks file, plus a screenshot of the tool path. The tool path turns out great, but when I go to post process the G-code, It gives me an error that says that tool orientation is not supported, whatever that means...

    Any suggestions?

It looks like I solved the problem.

I loaded everything just as before, except that I left "tool orientation" unchecked. I also made sure that Z was "up" be default in the main Fusion 360 preferences.

I finally was able to generate G-code. I haven't tested the code yet, so I still have to check to make sure my machine cuts in the proper direction, and that my part orientation is correct.

    Will report back shortly...

My first run of code worked out way better than I expected. The CAM portion is pretty solid.

Yes, it is. I was pleasantly surprised by the power of the CAM section of 360.

We're going to be purchasing the Ultimate version before the promotion goes away.
