Hi,
I have a Hardinge CHNC4 with an Inland Motor Drive System HPA03-158100-611-5306B35 servo drive. I can't unfortuantly find any information on the drive, the documentation I got with the lathe was for a different model of CHNC

Specifically I'm looking to convert the machine to Linuxcnc and I want to test the servo drive, but I don't know what to jump/and or connect to to test the drive

Any help is much appreciated!

we supplied hpa to various mt mfgrs over the years, but mostly tpa models. hope you have the 6 phase power input transformer for it....

I would be happy to email u pdf manual on this 160v, 100amp drive. u may also like the spec sheet on ur 5302b 2400rpm, 80amp, 35#-ft motor too - just ask... email me with address to send to...

ps: i have lots of spare cards (and hpa drives left too...)

That would be outstanding!! The HPA3 is in the cabinet with the rest of the Hardinge installed parts, so I assume there's a 6 phase power input transformer in there, I think it's the transformer at the bottom of the cabinet.
I've heard these are very reliable units, I didn't want to go the VFD route until I could confirm that the HPA3 didn't work.
