    Bridgeport S2I2 Head Control

    Hi Everyone,
I'm doing an Ajax conversion on my Bridgeport, and want to add a few buttons to the head like in some of the photos on the Ajax site. What I don't know is should I buy NC or NO buttons for:

    -Cycle Start
    -Cycle Stop
    -Tool Check
    -Feed Hold

Does anybody have any ideas? I'll be hiring out the PLC as I just don't have time to learn it all.

    Thanks

    Jay

Fail-safe design generally indicates that "go" buttons be normally-open, and "stop" buttons be normally-closed.

So you should use NO for your remote Cycle Start and Tool Check buttons, and NC for your Cycle Cancel and Feed Hold buttons.
