Sorry dude, SC only. I think that InventorCAM uses HSMWorks as the engine so look around for a mach3 post for hsm.

Hi, tried the post from Github in Solidcam today. Unable to make a 4 axis tool path. Is there a tutorial or can you share the files you are using?
So that I can see what type of operation and geometry selections.

My machine substitutes x axis with the rotational, rotary axis points to Y. Can I change this in the post?

Hi, managed to get it working sort of, Using Sim 5axis milling set to parallel cuts. But the machining is on the inside of the surfaces. Flipping the direction does not fix the problem.

Hey - was travelling hence the late reply. Re your first question -- sure, do what ever you want with the post. I have the rotary-along-y version on the todo list, but no plans for implementing it so far, so if you do, please send me the post proc so that I can put it on guthub as well.
Regarding your other issue -- I've had this happen to me as well and so far have no idea why and when it happens like this. My understanding is that this is a SC issue and not a problem with the post... maybe one with the vmid, but I really have no idea.

P.S. -- PM me an email of yours so that I can send you the files I've used to test.

    Hello,
I have a problem with this postprocessor. When calculating the G code and load it into mach3 makes two random rounds in .Operation mm. Here are photos from SolidCam and mach3:

    Hello,
Can anybody help with this problem?

With what program I can edit postprocessors? I have installed SOLIDCAM2015. I can not find the program Gpptool!

You use notepad to edit the post definitions (.gpp). Or a better text editor (like notepad++), but in the end it's still a text file that needs to be edited. You use gpptool (MachineEditor.exe actually) to edit the machine definition files (.vmid).
Machine definitions and postproc files are located at C:\Users\Public\Documents\SolidCAM\SolidCAMXXXX\Gp ptool. Gpptool / vmid editor itself is at C:\Program Files\SolidCAMXXXX\Solidcam\MachineIdEditor.exe
C:\Program Files\SolidCAMXXXX\Documentation will also be interesting for you I think.

Also the links to files you've posted have expired and I can't see what's wrong. Please repost or just PM me new links to files.

    Cheers,

    Teo

Dude, not sure how you managed to get the result you've posted above. This is what I get with your files just clicking 'generate g-code' in solidcam....

    Hi
the problem comes from the fact that MY units are mm. I asked in IJ Mode be abslyute. When in the Inc was prepared as with you. The question is, can I leave it in inches. They will receive various sizes set? Can you fix this problem in the postprocessor?

If I have the time over the weekend I will see / remember if that .prp is tough to make and let you know. IIRC it was something that I have already done for the post as it is and only needs to be "re-packaged", but no promises made...

Try this one. should work. Just make sure to rename it to the same name as the gpp. Let me know.

Re: 4 Axis Mach 3 Postprocessor (free but kinda wip)

Thank you for the file, I have renamed it to Mach3_4X.PRP and added to the Solidcam folder. I have run the GGP Tool and it finds the PREPostprocessor.
But when I want to Generate the G-Code I get some error messages.
-File Mach3_4x, Line 36: Variable 'trace_level' is not defined
-File Mach3_4x, Line 37: Variable 'trace_level' is not defined
-File Mach3_4x, Line 353: Variable 'G89' is not defined
-File Mach3_4x, Line 358: Variable 'stepdown' is not defined
-File Mach3_4x, Line 359: Variable 'dwell' is not defined
-File Mach3_4x, Line 362: Variable 'dwell' is not defined
-File Mach3_4x, Line 365: Variable 'pitch' is not defined

What is the best way to tackle this problem?
