Climb or conventional milling, which for which?

    Hi guys,
I've always learned that one should use climb milling for a good finish, and even maybe for roughing to. However this site states the opposite: climbing for roughing and conventional for finishing. What do you guys think?

Conventional milling is only necessary on manual machining or machines with excessive backlash. For CNC climb milling is acceptable in almost all applications.

In certain instances where you are having trouble with deflection, Conventional can be a better solution, but other than that Climb is definitely the way to go.

No the site is not wrong, it does not say that Conventional should be used for finishing definitively. But only when you are experiencing trouble with deflection.

Conventional is good for getting underneath the scale of materials and flame cut parts. But 99% of the time on a cnc machine you will be climb milling.
