    Cool Collisions in simulation

    Hello!

I have a test model of a simple box with lid. As the cut progresses it collides with the stock outside of the curve I defined as the limits. I have had this problem before but I forgot what I did to eliminate the cuts outside of the curve I set as the limits. Can somebody take a look at what I am doing and give me some pointers as to keeping the cuts inside of the limits curve?

The cutter is in imperial and is 4" long, 1.25" cutting length, .25" diameter flat.

    thanks!

Well, I got what I wanted but is it the right way to do it?

Anyways, I remember faintly that this was how I did it before... see attached.

Without looking at the model, Region curves doesn't fence of the cutter. It only says "cut this region". An easy way to really fence off the cutter is to extrude the region curve upwards, include it in the MadCAM work boundary box, set the region curve and a clipping plan lower than the extruded curve. Now the cutter will stay inside the extruded surface, which is acting as a real fence.
